apparently. The final sale numbers for both M-rated games, MadWorld on the Wii and GTA: Chinatown Wars on the DS are all but impressive. Gamers have been crying in outrage that we don’t get any adult tiles on the Nintendo systems yet when companies finally heard our complaints and gave us what we wanted - no one bought it. So don’t be expecting many more M-rated games on your Nintendo systems, not with numbers like these.
MadWorld sold 66,000 copies
Chinatown Wars sold 89,000 units.
Now these numbers aren’t too god awful, plus, no one is really selling tons of games right now, there is a bad economy right now and all. Just saying.

My friend got MadWorld and loves it. It’s a cool game.
Both games are highly acclaimed but it’s sad to see when games are not appreciated.

Another thing to remember about games like MadWorld is that it’s not necessarily an appealing title for all ‘adult’ gamers. It’s supposed to be billed for a mature audience, but I think that it’s really only appealing to gamers in their late teens and early twenties. I’m older than that and most of my friends didn’t pick it up because its style is too corny/sensationalistic. Not enough substance to hold interest.

That is a very good and interesting point, Keith. You’re right. A lot of times, we (I am at fault for this too) group adult gamers into the same category, but adult gamers of different ages and different sexes do enjoy different types of games. Just because a game is rated M and marketed towards adults doesn’t mean automatically everyone over 18 years old is going to enjoy it.

I would 100% buy something creepy like Wii Gyno! Or like an X-rated Feel The Magic! HAHAH
